After nearly a year of intense training, he returned to Rome and won a European grant for youth entrepreneurship, which allowed him to purchase his first machines and open his own workshop. With the help of friends, he chose and renovated the space, officially launching Giga Resoling on October 12, 2020.
Giga Resoling was born with the goal of offering high-quality service, capable of meeting the needs of even the most demanding clients. Our workshop stands out for its resoling, repair, and customization of footwear, with a level of detail and finishing that goes beyond industry standards.
Our team is made up of passionate mountain lovers with years of experience in sport climbing, trekking, ski mountaineering, and alpine climbing. Our mission is to raise the standards of resoling by constantly investing in new materials, advanced techniques, and cutting-edge machinery.

The Giga Resoling project began to take shape between 2017 and 2018, when Giacomo decided to learn the art of resoling. Determined to master the craft, he moved to Athens to train in the workshop of George Vlahandreas—one of the most renowned climbing shoe resolers—even though he had never practiced the sport himself. During this time, Giacomo combined George’s technical expertise with his own knowledge of the climbing world, developing an innovative approach full of experimentation.
